Roger Bash | PRESIDENT
rbash@bashland.com

Roger Bash became a builder at a very young age. “I refer to it as a calling, the manifestations of which littered the woods around my parent’s home. With the three-fold advantages of a mechanical mind, an ease with geometry and early training in the disciplines of mechanical drawing and theatrical set construction, the stage was literally set for a lifelong career and passion for building.”

His early enthusiasm provided both tools and perspective. When Roger arrived at the University of Lyon, France, he fell in love with the history and romance of the medieval master builders and the monuments they created. Once he returned home to the U.S. to complete his degree, he spent many hours in the sculpture studio continuing his studies in design and building. A subsequent move to the Bay Area provided still more opportunities to study wood, stone carving, cabinetmaking and carpentry and with it, the desire to create a company that could provide a marriage of skills with tasteful design sensibility.

Jeff Rexford | VICE PRESIDENT
jrexford@bashland.com

Before he even graduated from high school, Jeff Rexford was already immersed in construction. Immediately after graduation, he launched himself into the field, working for a contractor building barns and single family homes. He was accepted into Antioch College and completed a degree in architecture. Over the course of his study there, he taught a dozen interior design and construction courses and solidified his passion for the field.

Jeff was a founding member of the Bashland team in 1978 and for the next eight years, was a lead field foreman. “In 1986 the company had grown so much that two estimators were needed to handle the volume of projects, so I hung up my nail bags and moved into the office.” He now handles all company sales functions, project administration before and during construction, billing, management of subcontractors and company staff, and oversees finances and purchasing.

Jeff has two sons. He is a boating and water-sports enthusiast and has had a lifelong love of motorcycles.

Debbie Colchico | OFFICE MANAGER & CONTROLLER
dcolchico@bashland.com

“Bashland is a forward-moving company that keeps abreast of the latest technologies in our field.”

Debbie Colchico brought a decade of construction management experience to Bashland when she arrived in 2005. Not only had she worked with general contractors, but she also had in-depth knowledge of the subspecialties: plumbing, drywall, electrical, tile, mechanical and civil engineering. Now responsible for Bashland’s financial reports, job costing and managing all accounting and clerical staff, her multi-tasking abilities are being maximized daily. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

John Coveney | PROJECTS MANAGER
jcoveney@bashland.com

“No matter how dramatic or interesting a building design is, I am constantly reminded that as builders, we are setting the stage for lives to be lived in — a home. I knew early on that it was all about the details. Now, as a supervisor I see my role as being like the conductor of an orchestra, directing the players to work in harmony.”

Married with one daughter, John enjoys hiking, biking and photography. He also takes pride in expanding his artistic skills following the completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and a Certificate in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems from Cal State Hayward. Although passionately committed to his craft, John feels his greatest achievement lies much closer to home: “Being a dad is the most significant thing I have ever done. It really puts things in perspective and is a constantly evolving process. As soon as you think you know how to father at one age, they’ve moved on to the next.”

Mike Teresko | OPERATIONS MANAGER
mteresko@bashland.com

“There is no better testament to the quality and dependability of an organization than the fact that so many people at Bashland have chosen to spend a good portion of their adult lives working to provide the highest level of craftsmanship and service.”

Mike has been with the company for over 20 years, only slightly longer than many of the people with whom he works. With the early encouragement of his father, he developed what became a lifelong love of tools and building. He came to the Bay Area to study printmaking and photography at the San Francisco Art Institute, found a job with a small furniture design firm and came to work for Bashland as a cabinetmaker and eventually managed the cabinet shop. Now his interest in technology and science has provided another opportunity to bring his considerable abilities to bear, combining his IT skills and purchasing knowledge with CAD operation.

Anthony Fenner | CABINET SHOP MANAGER
afenner@bashland.com

“I bring my love of the arts to my work every day.”

Anthony Fenner has been a woodworking artisan for a quarter century. And of those 25 years, 22 have been with Bashland. “Working in this environment satisfies my personality and work ethic. There is a true sense of family here among the crew. They are self motivated, thorough and prideful in their work, and this creates a very healthy place for us all. My primary focus is the operations of the cabinet shop, but the bottom line is the finished product. We always strive to meet the highest standard in both quality and service.”

Anthony’s clients are uniform in this praise. Words like “considerate,” “professional” and “friendly” are typical. When not in the shop, he is an avid mountain biker and devoted to his wife and children: “they occupy me in a way only parents can appreciate.”

Stacy Marcoux
smarcoux@bashland.com

“Working with such talented, dedicated, and enthusiastic colleagues makes me feel very fortunate to be part of the Bashland family.”

Stacy embarked on her administrative / accounting career over 11 years ago, starting out in the banking field and ultimately finding her niche in the construction industry with Bashland Builders in early 2006. Along the way, Stacy attended night school while concurrently transitioning from an entry level clerk position to become an Accounting Specialist. She earned her degree in Business Software Administration from Heald Business College, which she applies to her every day job responsibilities. So far she has not only met the challenges in an ever-evolving industry but has also thoroughly enjoyed gaining as much knowledge as possible along the way. Her interests include reading, scrapbooking, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
